- Flame spray gun coatings, which are frequently used in high wear industries like mining and the steel industry, guard against wear on rolls, pistons, and other equipment.
- In a Flame Spray cannon, fuel gases and oxygen are combined to create a flame into which powder is sprayed. By projecting the molten powder particles onto the work object, the coating is produced.
- In order to "fuse" many of the coatings sprayed using this technique to the substrate surface, they are then heated at a temperature of roughly 1000°C.

Flame Spray Gun System
The flame spray gun is used for the coating process. In this process the raw material in the form of a single wire, cord, & powder.
Flame spray coating services are very much valuable in various kinds of industrial, automobile, and mechanical utilities as they provide excellent coating facilities while providing the least heat input to the base metal.
These Plasma flame spray services (wire & powder) are proved to be very much helpful in corrosion control coatings (aluminum and zinc), Babbitt wire bearings, decorative coatings, EMI, and RFI shielding for defense, etc.
In the flame spray gun compressed air, oxygen, & acetylene is used with coating material as an input. Sometimes LPG is used at the place of acetylene gas. Oxygen & acetylene mixture is used as burnt gas and compressed air is used to increase the pressure.
In the wire flame spray gun to work with highly flammable gas is a hazard. In its pressure and flow of the gases is controlled. In the zinc spray gun compressed air is used which creates high noise. As the material of coating varies sound level may vary itself.
The flow of material and gases varies as per the requirement. In the zinc spray gun different – different sizes of nozzles are used according to the required pressure.
This gun flow rate of oxygen is 75-80 and the acetylene/ LPG flow rate is 25-35 in the gas flow meter. Two rollers are used in the gun to rotate the wire in the forward direction for use.
In the Metalizing gun size of wire from 1.2 mm to 5 mm (0.047-0.20 inches) is used.

The flame spray gun is used for a metal object that can be surface zinc coating on the exposed area to achieve high wear and corrosion resistance. Flame spray guns (metalizing guns) also used to achieve thermal insulation of the substrate mostly used in the heat-treatment process.
Surface coating for zinc wire can also be used to repair damaged parts of the substrate. After the coating process, complete part replacement is not necessary and this refurbishment effectively extends the lifetime of the part.
