In Wet Blasting Cabinet, Water & compressed air both are used for the wet blaster process. It is cheaper than both Pressure & Suction as it uses water & abrasives media as blasting media. In this, the pressure of compressed air is 35 CFM & 6-7 kg/cm2. It is used for Automobile components, Greasy Components that soluble in water. Dry Blasting is not used because of oil & grease in automobile components. As abrasive get stuck on these greasy particles. That makes it harder to Dry blasting on these greasy workpieces. One of the main advantages of Wet blasting machine is that it provides a shiny finish to the workpiece as compared to the other models of a sandblaster. There is the same working as in Suction Blasting Cabinet.

Mechanism of Suction Blasting

The mechanism of Suction Blasting cabinets is different from other sandblaster models. This Suction blasting has two inlet holes & one outlet Wet Sandblasting Nozzle for blasting. Two inlet hole one is for suction of abrasion another one for creating a vacuum inside the suction blasting from compressed air is flown through a hole. 

Working of Wet Blasting Cabinet

In this type of cabinet water, mixed abrasives are used for blasting on the surface of the substrate. For mixing the water with the abrasive slurry pump is used. It helps in proper mixing of abrasive with water, otherwise abrasive gets settle down due to the density of a particle. Some abrasive floats on the surface of the water (Grits, Plastic abrasive, Glass beads, etc). The cabinet contains visual light at the top of the cabinet to have visibility during the blasting process on a workpiece. And a transparent glass for viewing the workpiece. Glass is protected by a fine net from abrasion. This blasting is done by the suction gun. When the vacuum is created a suction mechanism starts with the help of Compressed air. The abrasive Blast on a workpiece removes greasy particles with the help of a water jet. There is a mist collector to collect fog, mist & haze particles to make visibility clear. There are two holes in the cabinet for handling the workpiece. In holes, there is a gauntlet in which gloves are fitted for wet blasting sand the substrate surface. Whenever wet blasting Cabinet is completed there is an air gun that cleans the blasting surface of the workpiece. Control switch of the abrasive blasting cabinet. The wiper is there inside the cabinet to control the wiper for cleaning up the wet abrasives stuck on the viewing glass. For protecting the glass from blasting we use Wire Mesh.

**There are two ways of controlling abrasive blasting cabinet one by push button & secondly by Foot paddle.

In the push button operator have to push a button when abrasive blasting is done in this controlling is done by hand. He has taken out his hand from gloves then push the button. In this controlling is given to foot paddle operator has to push paddle when he has abrasive blasting the workpiece.
