What is Pressure Blasting Cabinet?
In the Pressure Blasting Cabinet, There is a pressure pot at the bottom of the Sandblasting hopper. In Pressure, pot pressure is created towards the abrasive & compressed air through a mixer tube. It requires 65-110 CFM & 6-7 kg/cm2 compressed air.There are two doors of a cabinet in which the workpiece is fed for abrasive blasting. And abrasive is fed into the hopper having gravity feed. Hopper haves two levels of sieving in which the upper level is a perforated sheet having 8mm holes. And the second level of sieving is wire mesh having 3mm holes for filtration of abrasive. It is used for effective blasting for removing a hard layer of unwanted contaminants. These Pressure Blasting Cabinets are categories in different types of Abrasive blasting cabinets as to which abrasive is used. In pressure blast cabinet Checkered stand is used for pressure blast cabinet. The checkered platform provides an operator to stand on it. Due to the pressure pot at the bottom stand height increases.
Working of Pressure Blasting Cabinet
In this, the Solenoid valve is used for controlling the Pressure blasting. The solenoid valve is controlled electrically by means of push-button. There are two options for controlling the blasting process by Ball valve (Manually) & Solenoid Valve (Automatically). Compressed air is passed through Moisturizer Separator that Separates Moisture from the air. So to avoid moisture from clotting inside the Sandblasting nozzle. Non- retrieval Valve is used to avoid the back-flow of the mixed abrasives. Then it is passed through an air Regulator that regulates air inside the mixing tube. Then mixed abrasives are pressurized with compressed air. In a Pressure pot, compressed air is used to create pressure on the abrasive. Then abrasive is mixed with compressed air coming from the Non-retrieval valve. The perforated sheet is used & wire mesh is used to provide vibration for the filtration of abrasives with the help of compressed air & abrasive particles collected in the Sandblasting hopper. When blasting is started abrasive particles strikes on the surface & get deflected toward the walls of cabinets. Inside walls of the cabinet are pasted with Rubber sheets for protection of cabinets walls from abrasive blasting. Pressure blasting is having a high velocity due to which it is effective for blasting done in lesser time compared to other ones. We have Sandblasting Dust collector at the backside of the cabinets to collect dust particles in the form of dust & microparticles get to settle down use as recycle abrasive. There are two ways of blasting the workpiece by moving the workpiece or by moving an abrasive blasting gun. As suitable for workpieces for abrasive blasting.
If a workpiece is heavy then the abrasive blasting gun is driven by the operator. If an abrasive blasting gun is fixed then the operator moves the workpiece according to the blasting surface. In the cabinet, there are both types of arrangements provided by "Airo Shot Blast".
