Sand Blasting Machine
Sand blasting machine manufacturer
Sand blasting machine uses the process of removing all the loose particles from any surface. And those loose particles can be scale, corrosion or any burrs, etc. Sand blasting is quite useful for any surface because if we don’t remove the loose particles then the strength of any paint or coating is very low on that surface.
The basic principle of sand blasting is to throw a high-velocity stream of air and sand on the required surface. Blasting simply means throwing media on the required surface at high velocity.Sand blasting is also called Abrasive blasting. It is the operation of directing a stream of high-velocity abrasive media against a surface to smoothen a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface and shape a surface, or remove the surface contaminants.
Sand blasting cabinet
Sand blasting machine can be done in the open air and also in a closed system or we can say cabinet.
In open-air blasting, we are doing blasting in an open environment. The operator has to wear a safety suit, helmet, etc. and the closed blasting machine is also called a sand blasting cabinet. It prevents the environment from dust and operators' health also. The closed sand blasting cabinet consists abrasive recycling system also that we can reuse the used abrasive. so later it will be economic. the cabinet also consists dust collection system. The operator can do sand blasting from the outside of the cabinet.
The Portable Sand Blasting Machine or sand blasting hopper is used as a finishing process that has been successfully utilized on glass, metal, plastic, ceramics, and stone. The portable sand blasting machines are safe, high productivity systems designed for use with a wide range of abrasive media. The purpose of portable sand blasting machine involves descaling, peening, Deburring, Deflashing, polishing, cleaning, and stress relieving. main applications are in the industries of ships, infrastructure & other vehicles.
Types of Sand blasting Machine
1. Pressure blasting machine
2. Suction blasting machine
3. Wet blasting machine
Pressure Blasting Machine
The Pressure blasting machine utilizes various sizes of pressure vessels called pressure pots. The pressure pot filled with the media, and as it is energized with compressed air, it pressurizes the pressure pot. When the air and media mix is released from the pressure pot it accelerates from the pot through at least 5-10 feet of hose and then the speed becomes, even more. When it travels through the sand blasting nozzle. The acceleration rates of air and media mix are much higher than pressure blasting than suction blasting.
When the pressure pot empties of the media and air then the pressure pot has to be depressurized to refill the pressure pot with media. The pressure blasting systems are much more productive than suction blasting systems. Pressure blasting systems can blast all media regardless of weight or size and can also deliver media at very low psi.
Suction Blasting Machine
The Suction blasting machine uses the principle of sucking abrasive media from a sand blasting hopper. The air jet is half of the ID of the nozzle and as the air stream is passed through both, it creates a low pressure which sucks the media from the hopper into the air stream. The media acceleration distance is very short from the nozzle to the workpiece. When the blasting media in the hopper then the suction system can be continuously blasted as long as there are blasting media in the hopper.
Suction systems do not deliver media well at very low air pressures and they have limits on how long the suction feed hose can be. Very heavy blasting media cannot be conveyed into the air stream with suction blasting. Most industrial blast cabinets are suction blasting systems and work well with most media.
Wet Blasting Machine
For some special applications, a media-water mix can be used, this is called a wet blasting machine, This is a part of suction blasting. Wet blasting is working as injecting the abrasive media into a pressurized water stream or creating a slurry of abrasive, media and water that is pressurized or introduced into a compressed air stream.
In both dry sand blasting machines and wet blasting, the blast nozzles can be installed in fixed positions or can be operated manually.
The blasting task determines the type of abrasive media, in most cases, any type of dry or free-running abrasive media can be used.
